Settlement Notices

Verita Global: is a notice from Verita or KCC real?

Updated · Sources

Verita Global is a real settlement administrator, the company formerly known as KCC and Gilardi, and courts appoint it to send notices and pay claims; its legal name is Verita Global, LLC Verita Globalchecked October 1, 2026. Older letters and checks may still say KCC or Gilardi, and look-alike sites using the Verita name have been reported, so the steps below show how to check yours with Verita's own case search and the court record.

KCC, Gilardi and RicePoint became Verita

If an older letter, a check or a court paper says KCC or Gilardi, it is the same group under an earlier name. Verita's own history page gives these milestones:

The old names still exist as legal entities. Verita's privacy policy lists, as companies doing business as Verita, KCC Class Action Services, LLC; Kurtzman Carson Consultants, LLC; Gilardi & Co., LLC; RicePoint Administration Inc.; Verita Global, Ltd. Verita Globalchecked October 1, 2026. The old web address still works as a pointer: kccllc.com redirects to Verita's "KCC is now Verita" page Verita Globalchecked October 1, 2026. A KCC name on a settlement paper is therefore not, by itself, a sign that something is off.

What a Verita notice email and claim portal look like

A class member in a New York securities case filed the Verita email notice they received with the court (Notice of request for exclusion with the forwarded e-mail notice attached). It shows:

Some cases take claims on a Verita portal rather than on the case website. A filing in a California antitrust case shows the claim page at veritaconnect.com/<case>/Claimant U.S. District Court, N.D. Cal., In re Telescopes Antitrust Litigation, No. 5:20-cv-03639-EJD, ECF 436checked October 1, 2026, with the case's name in place of <case>. The same filing records two login steps: a claim number to file online, and double authentication, added after fraudulent claims (filing of July 21, 2025). The claim-number step is described in an objector's letter attached to it; the double authentication, and the reason for it, in the plaintiffs' own account. If your claim page asks for a claim number and a second check, that matches what was filed in that case, though each case sets its own steps.

Payment methods vary by case. Verita's services page lists what it can offer, not what any one settlement uses: PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or Amazon (using the claimant's e-mail or mobile number); wires; checks; ACH; virtual or physical debit cards; Interac in Canada Verita Globalchecked October 1, 2026. The notice or case website says which ones apply to yours.

Why people doubt messages that name Verita

Verita publishes a searchable list titled "Settlements" on its corporate site. When it was read in full, it held 262 Verita Globalchecked October 1, 2026 case websites. Of those, none sat on a Verita domain: every case has its own address. The menu link calls the list active cases, but it also includes closed ones, some years old, and Canadian cases.

  1. Take from your notice the name of the company being sued, the court, and the website address printed on it.
  2. Open Verita's list by typing the corporate address from the box above into your browser and following the link to the case search. Choose the consumer or securities filter if your notice says which kind of case it is.
  3. Search for the company named in your notice. Compare the website shown on Verita's list with the one on your notice, character by character. A spelling difference, an extra word or a different ending is the kind of variation the Canadian report described.
  4. If the case is not on the list, that alone does not show the notice is fake. Find the case in court records (how to look up a class action case) and read which administrator and web address the judge approved.
  5. Reach the case website or claim portal by typing the address yourself, then enter the ClaimID and PIN from your notice there.

For questions about one case, use the toll-free number on that case's notice or website. The corporate numbers in the box above are Verita's general lines.

What the record shows, and what it does not

Apart from the CBC story, no official warning about impostors using Verita's name turned up in United States court, state or federal agency records, and Verita's site, as read for this page, offers no guide to telling its real notices or texts apart. The fraud that does appear in a United States court record is the reverse: false claims filed against a settlement, which, according to the plaintiffs' filing, led the administrator to add the second login check described above. The general warning signs for any notice are on how to tell whether a settlement notice is real.
